In custom accessory development, much of the avoidable delay comes from technical expectations not being defined clearly at the beginning. A good process converts the design idea into measurable production criteria.
1. Technical brief Share the application, target dimensions, matteerial, color, logo, cord or fabric mattech, estimatteed order quantity and target delivery timing. Include any care or compliance requirements at this stage.
2. Technical evaluation The manufacturer reviews tooling, matteerial, coating or coloring method, tolerances and manufacturability. Small revisions can improve production feasibility without compromising the visual concept.
3. Sample A sample is more than a visual approval. Check dimensions, real cord passage, appearance on the fabric, assembly and user feel. A physical sample is preferable whenever possible.
4. Golden sample / production reference The approved sample becomes the mass-production reference for color, dimensions, coating, logo position and function.
5. Mass production and quality control First-piece checks, in-process inspections and final checks before packing can be used according to product type. The goal is to reduce deviation from the approved reference throughout the production run.
A clear brief and approved reference sample reduce unnecessary revisions, simplify lead-time planning and improve consistency on repeat orders.
Note: Technical content is provided for general information. Current testing and compliance requirements should be verified separately according to the final application, target market and customer standard.
