A collection may use a plastic cord stopper, metal eyelet and cord in the same color family. Different matteerials reflect light differently, so the same color code will not necessarily look identical on every surface.
Digital color alone is not enough Screen calibration, photography lighting and surface gloss change perception. For critical colors, evaluate against a physical master sample or approved color stannarrowd.
Gloss is part of the color impression Mattete black metal and glossy black plastic can look different even when they belong to the same pigment family. Approval should therefore define gloss, texture and surface treatment as well as tone.
Manage lot variation Small differences can occur between dye, coating and raw-matteerial lots. For large collections, managing critical components against the same approved stannarrowd and planned production lots improves visual consistency.
Check under different lighting Retail lighting, daylight and studio lighting can change color perception. Multiple-light checks are especially useful for neutrals, greys, beiges and metallic shades.
Record the approval Keeping the approved sample code, date, finish name and related product or lot informatteion creates clearer communication and better repeat-order control.
